Ports Australia is pleased to provide a submission to the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment to contribute to development of the national biosecurity strategy. Australia’s biosecurity system is critical, and a national biosecurity strategy will be significant in enabling governments and industry to have a clear and shared understanding of the long-term direction of the biosecurity system. Integration of existing work and inclusion of additional approaches that will allow for an enhanced biosecurity system will be key; and Ports Australia’s submission seeks to support these efforts.
