Ports Australia is pleased to provide a submission to contribute to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security’s review of the Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Bill 2020 (the Bill) and statutory review of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (the Act). Ports Australia commends the Australian Government’s intention to ensure essential assets are secure for the ongoing social and economic wellbeing, and security of the nation and its people. Ports Australia seeks to support the Australian Government by advising of the most prudent and practical methods to achieve this objective for the port sector.
