Fremantle Ports is responsible for operating Western Australia’s largest general port, and is wholly owned by the Government of Western Australia. The Port of Fremantle comprises the Inner Harbour at the mouth of the Swan River, where containers, break-bulk, motor vehicles and cruise vehicles are handled, and the Outer Harbour in Cockburn Sound which handles imports and exports of dry and liquid bulk cargo.
